I was a Level Designer on Minimum and was only on the project for about 2 weeks, but in that time frame I generated a few block outs, one of which wound up shipping with the game. Minimum was a 3rd person, PvP shooter developed in UE3. I created a Space Station themed map that featured an outdoor, low-gravity section that also featured a ship that would dock alongside the exterior platforms. The ship provided dynamic cover and made it a bit safer to cross the large gap to the other side, which sort of played out like a combination of Boarding Action from Halo: CE and a dynamic Smash Bros level where the play space changes periodically throughout the match. I was responsible for:
Building multiple blockouts for TDM, establishing metrics like jump height, physics based trick jumps off of moving platforms, and how much space was needed for camera clearance within interior spaces and doorways.
Creating a smaller spaceship and animating it along a spline, then setting up the kismet for it to have it dock at the larger Space Station at regular intervals.
Scripting a solution via Kismet for killing the players if they remained on the smaller space ship after it launched itself out into open space away from the playspace.
I had no idea a map I developed had shipped along with this game upon release until it randomly popped up on my radar, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was not only fully intact, but they maintained the space ship docking feature as well. This was a fun little 3rd person shooter that I wish had gotten a bit more traction, but it was really fun to develop for either way.
